For my first design project as a design student, I was instructed to design a dress. The purpose of this project was to be sustainable. I decided to create a dress using upcycled materials from two skirts that were thrifted. 

 

With sustainability becoming more important in the fashion industry. I took on the challenge to create a dress that was sustainable. One thing that I think is very important when it comes to sustainable fashion is recycling. Upcycling garments to create a new design is one way to create sustainable fashion.
